Advent calender DAY 22🌲: Valle de Elqui (Apr 2019)Auf meinem Weg Richtung Norden von Chile machte ich Halt im Elquital. Hier wird an vielen Stellen Wein angebaut. Ein Teil der Früchte werden direkt hier im Tal dafür verwendet, um Pisco herzustellen. ⚗️Eine dieser Piscodestillerien haben wir besucht und konnten uns den Fertigungsprozess anschauen.Aus diesem Destillat wird z.B. das Landesgetränk "Pisco Sour" gemischt. Da in dem Tal nur sehr kleine Dörfer liegen und keine Lichtverschmutzung durch große Städte vorhanden ist, kann man in der Nacht wunderbar den Sternenhimmel beobachten. Some of the fruits are used right here in the valley to make pisco. ⚗️We visited one of these pisco distilleries and were able to take a look at the production process.You can mix e.g. the national drink "Pisco Sour" with this distillate.
